Helen Lamb completed Three Kinds of Kissing – the story of small-town Scottish girlhood, of the ties that bind and the ties that break – just weeks before her sudden and untimely death in March 2017. Tonight is an occasion for lovers of good writing to celebrate the launch of her first and only novel. There will be readings from Three Kinds of Kissing, Chris Powici and Magi Gibson will talk about Helen’s life as a writer and teacher, and the inaugural Helen Lamb Prize for the Stirling University MLitt in Creative Writing will be presented.
The launch is free but you’ll need a ticket from the Macrobert. These will be available from July 16 at https://macrobertartscentre.org
More information on the Glasgow (Waterstones Byres Road, 21 September) and Edinburgh (25 October, Blackwell South Bridge) launches is available on our events page or via the Helen Lamb Facebook group.
All of the events are free to attend and everyone is welcome. Complimentary refreshments will also be available.
